I hope you all had a fantastic Summer, and that you’re feeling energised and refreshed as you get back into the swing of things. I know I am!
I just started a few new young beginners, and I’m trying out Piano Pronto’s latest book, ‘Roadtrip!‘ with them. I’m really enjoying the approach of this method so far, and the fact that the student is reading on the staff from day 1. Plus all the fabulous teacher duets that make it extra fun for us!
The teacher guide for ‘Roadtrip!‘ is jam-packed with ideas and activities, including ideas for continuing the adventures at home. I needed a new assignment sheet especially for my little roadtrippers, and I had so much fun creating this one.
Feel free to use this assignment sheet with your own students. It follows the Roadtrip! theme, but I think it could work very well for a beginner in any series.
For those of you who are using the Roadtrip! book, here’s the version of the pdf with all the at-home activities and songs to practice filled in.
I’m going to be using both versions in my lessons. If we follow the lesson plan completely I can use a pre-filled assignment sheet, and if not I can fill in a blank one for that student.

Do you teach very young beginners in your studio?
What’s your favourite method series for this age? Are you trying out ‘Roadtrip!’ or any other new books this year? I’d love to hear about it!
