What do we do at Colourful Keys?
As well-rounded musicians, we don't just read music, we arrange, we improvise and we compose our own pieces.
We Get Great Results
Students don't have to do exams, but when they choose to they always achieve fantastic marks, and have fun along the way.
There are two concerts every year, giving students the chance to play for others in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Students at Colourful Keys get opportunities to play in ensembles and work together, making piano friends at the same time.
We Use Technology
The iPad is becoming an indispensable tool for musicians, and we use the best educational apps on offer in our lessons.
We Gameify Learning
We play boardgames and do activities away from the piano to reinforce concepts in different ways, making learning stronger.
Piano lessons are held in my home in Kimmage, Dublin 12, South Dublin. For more information about pricing and lesson options please see the general lesson information page, or contact me with any other questions you may have.
Wondering what piano lessons with me might look like?
Have a look at my blog to get an idea of some of the fun things we get up to! For instance in a young beginner’s piano lessons we could be playing finger twister , musical alphabet memory or rockin’ rhythms; an intermediate piano student might take up the 40 Piece Challenge and make a youtube playlist of all their performances to share with their friends; and an adult beginner could get playing rich sounding music straight away with four simple chords, black key improvisation or lead sheets!

Piano Lessons for Ages 6 and up
I focus on maximizing the fun factor from the very start, getting kids creating music from the word go! I teach piano through music reading, but also away from the page; playing super fun games, doing improvisation and getting students to compose their own music! We have such a good time together that your child won’t even realise that this is an “educational experience”, they come to lessons because they love it, and it’s this environment which I believe can instil a lifelong love for music and all the benefits that come along with it. Adult Piano Lessons
Adults piano students are very welcome, whether starting piano for the first time, or finally returning to piano after years of absence. I focus on making the music learning process an enjoyable and immediately rewarding experience, meaning you can have fun playing piano straight away and make the music you want to make.
